Evaluation Activity 6 - What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constucting this product?

In our film we used an iMac and Finale Cut Pro to edit our film. From this we learned about how to use colour correct tool to give our film the lighting we could not create artificially on set. We also learned how to use colour filters such as cold steel and red filter and how to over-lay shots and sounds if we needed to. We also learned about the different editing effects we could use such as flash and image distort.

When filming on location with our tripod and a Panasonic HDC-SD60 camera we learned how to set up shots a range of different shots to match the genre i.e. we used slanted angles to make a shot seem odd. We also learned about setting up shots with the equipment.

We learned about how to use online blogs to create our film portfolios. We learned how to make a blog entry and how to use it to make a good portfolio and how to use a blog for course work.

We also used YouTube to put our finished films on to get audience feedback from a large source. I also used Facebook to advertise the YouTube video further. We used Adobe Photoshop to make our Production logo draft and create images for the evaluation. I also used Adobe Premiere for my preliminary. I also used Microsoft Word to document the write my evacuation and to write the scripts.
